A sick child can not learn.

Unfortunately, too many of the children of Northeast Louisiana live each day without receiving the healthcare necessary to be productive, active children and youth. The causes vary; many times the lack of quality care comes from a lack of education and understanding of the needs of a child. Other families simply can not afford to provide the proper medical attention.

The Children’s Coalition for Northeast Louisiana serves as the regional Covering Kids and Families contractor for the Region 8 area, servicing all 12 parishes within the region. We strive to seek and enroll eligible children into the LaCHIP and Medicaid programs through the initiatives of our local coalition comprised of businesses, healthcare professionals, non-profits, school systems and community centers.
