Essential Functions and Basic Duties:
- Assist in training candidates in the Early Childhood Ancillary Teaching Certificate program and set up applied practice assignments for candidates that relate to the training to assist in building their skills using the CLASS model as a guide
- Assist with recruiting candidates for the ECAC Program.
- Assist in ensuring curriculum implementation.
- Maintain sign in sheet and roll of those candidates that are present and that have completed any assignments given, which includes discussing with the coordinator and providing copies of assignments that include TA or Applied Practice hours.
- Provide the ECAC director with the training, paperwork and or assignments before the session that will be used in the training for the upcoming week.
- Meet with the ECAC team (at least twice a month) to discuss issues, concerns, ideas, and the development of the upcoming calendar and changes, if any.
- Conduct CLASS observations which includes scoring and debriefing for assigned candidates and revisit as follow-up.
- Double code CLASS observations.
- Preferred experience using Canvas and Zoom.
- Provide monthly coaching to candidates.
- Ensure training room is returned to its original position after completion of trainings.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge on childcare licensing regulations, the goals and expectations of the Louisiana Department of Education (LDE) Lead Agency work, the Child Development Associate Credential, TOTS, the Child and Adult Care Food Program, the Child Care Assistance Program, Health/Sanitation Regulations, Fire Marshal Regulations and Pathways Career Development System.
- Develop and maintain constructive relationships with the early childhood community and serve as a role model of continual training and professionalism.
- Attend appropriate meetings/trainings.
- Travel to state and local early care & education functions.

Qualifications:

- Develop and achieve resource & impact goals related to communications and fundraising for the entire organization.
- Spearhead marketing & branding plan to highlight all programs and initiatives in four key areas: Early Childhood, Parenting, Healthy Living, & Youth Development.
- Develop and implement donor generation pipeline for multiple sources of income including events, general fundraising, and specific campaigns such as School Readiness Tax Credits.
- Generate revenue for the Children’s Coalition through special events and other fund development activities including membership.
- Develop and strengthen relationships in the community to increase awareness of the organization’s role in the region.
- Oversee all communications for the organization, including but not limited to: Coalition website, newsletters, news releases, social media, articles, radio, and television working with the ED who is the organization’s spokesperson.
- Serve as point person for all media requests, speaking requests, and news releases.
- Actively research fundraising trends and adjust strategies to address greatest needs.
- Collaborate with marketing firm on projects in need of outside support when budget allows.
- Oversee organization of special events including the Children’s Coalition Dragon Boat Festival.
- Communicate regularly with Executive Director concerning public awareness, identifying needs, generating solutions, and updating progress related to job duties.
- Available during and after office hours to collaborate with leadership team and communicate with staff.
- Attend all required staff and lead meetings and activities.
- Positively promote Children’s Coalition leadership and goals in the organization and in the community at large.
