Children’s Coalition for Northeast Louisiana is a community based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Monroe, Louisiana serving 14 parishes in Northeast Louisiana. During its 20+ year history the Children’s Coalition for Northeast Louisiana has sought to fulfill its mission to “create communities where children and families thrive," by addressing the developmental, social, and emotional needs of children ages 0-18 through early care and education, healthy living, parent education, and youth development programs. From 2015-2020, the organization experienced a period of tremendous growth, moving from 23 employees with an annual operating budget of $1.2 million to 85 employees with an annual operating budget of $7 million. In 2017, the Children’s Coalition for Northeast Louisiana co-located all of its programs into one location to downtown Monroe in an effort to create a one-stop-shop for children and families. The new location is surrounded by an outdoor early childhood learning center with a 30-bed edible garden which feeds children in the Early Head Start program.
