PARENTINGWe offer a variety of parenting workshops, seminars, and training sessions for educators, childcare workers, custodial and non-custodial parents, extended family members and community volunteers throughout the northeast region. By understanding the growth and development stages of children (infancy through adolescence), parents and professionals are able to model and teach new skills and behaviors, encourage good behavior and most importantly promote a healthy sense of self-worth.

The Family Resource Center for Northeast Louisiana serves families and parents at no cost in the following parishes: Bienville, Caldwell, East Carroll, Franklin, Jackson, Lincoln, Madison, Morehouse, Ouachita, Richland, Tensas, Union and West Carroll. Although our primary purpose is to provide parent education, visit coaching and a safe environment for families and children receiving services through DCFS’ Child Protective Services, our ultimate goal is to provide comprehensive parenting education, resources and information.

Time to Talk brings you accurate and appropriate information from state and local experts about issues that affect children, so that you can understand and communicate with and about them. Through this segment, you'll develop a sophisticated understanding of the issues faced by youth today and be encouraged to confidently discuss tough topics that face our children. |
