FESTIVAL DAY SCHEDULE
10:15 AM..........................TEAM CAPTAIN MEETING (MANDATORY)
10:45 AM.........................ALL TEAMS LINED UP FOR TEAM PARADE
11:00 AM..........................OPENING CEREMONY + TEAM PARADE - TEAM SPIRIT AWARD WILL BE JUDGED DURING
11:15 AM..........................RACES BEGIN
4:00 PM.............................CLOSING CEREMONY + AWARDS
FESTIVAL DETAILS
No Glass – No Grills – No Motorized Vehicles – No Pets – No Political Signage
Spectator Area- Spectators are encouraged to watch the races from this area. No recreational swimming will be allowed in the bayou during the event. Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome, however no tents will be allowed in this area. We recommend wearing sunscreen and hats.
Food- Participants and spectators can purchase food and drinks from participating food truck vendors. All food truck vendors have donated to the Children’s Coalition so you are encouraged to support them!
Official Festival T-Shirt - Event t-shirts will be available for sale online, during all pre-festival events and during the festival. Limited quantities will be ordered, so do not wait!
Parking- We recommend parking at Walgreens on Forsythe – a pickup service will be offering free rides from 10a-1pm and 2pm-4pm
We encourage carpooling or ride sharing - Uber+ Lyft are great options.
Rowers – Make sure to bring 1) Drivers License or Picture ID 2) Closed toe shoes 3) Clothes you don’t mind getting wet or muddy. Do not bring valuables that you may lose while rowing.
Etiquette- All participants and spectators are expected to treat the officials, organizers, volunteers, their fellow competitors and spectators with respect. Any abuse of this fact witnessed during the festival is to be reported to the organizing committee who will review the situation and take appropriate action that may include expulsion of a participant or crew from the festival. All rowers are expected to respect the rules and regulations of racing and the judgment of the officials. Unsportsmanlike towards the officials in this regard may bring about further penalty and risk disqualification the infracting rowing team.

Please note that safety must come first, and we uphold a zero-tolerance policy for it. The Children’s Coalition along with 22Dragons, the racing management company, have the discretion to delay (or cancel in extreme circumstances) the event due to lightning, heavy rain, hail or high winds.
