Ready Start Richland is a community coalition comprised of early care and education programs; Head Start, school system, and childcare committed to creating and implementing a unique vision for early childhood. Driven by the unique needs of the community to improve opportunities and inspire change for children birth to five.

COORDINATED FUNDING REQUEST
As the Early Childhood Lead Agency for Morehouse Parish, Richland Parish, Ouachita Parish, and East Carroll Parish the Children’s Coalition for Northeast Louisiana intends to request funding from the Louisiana Department of Education to fund existing and additional four-year-old seats for LA4, NSECD and LA Birth to Three to fund spots in quality early childhood centers for in-needs Infants, Toddlers and Three-year-old children. The funds requested are for the 2022-2023 school year.
Please review the proposed Coordinated Funding Requests. Comments are welcomed by both the Early Childhood Program Partners from Ready Start Morehouse, Ready Start Richland, OPENetwork Ready Start, and East Carroll Ready Start Early Childhood Networks as well as from the community at large.
Each publicly funded early childhood program was provided equal opportunity to complete the coordinated funding request application for their network. Funds were requested for eligible programs.

- LA4 - programs must be rated proficient or higher on early childhood performance profile, use Tier 1 curriculum and have certified lead teachers.
- NSECD - program must not be a public school, must be rated proficient or higher on early childhood performance profile, use Tier 1 curriculum and have certified lead teachers.
- B to 3 Seats - must serve infants, must be rated proficient or higher on early childhood performance profile, use Tier 1 curriculum and have certified lead teachers.
*Note regarding B to 3 seats: Submitting a request does NOT guarantee that a site will be awarded seats. To be considered for B to 3 seats the site MUST serve infants, have a rating of proficient or higher for 20-21 Early Childhood Performance Profile, use a Tier 1 approved curriculum, ECAC certified lead teachers. Seats will be prioritized for high performing sites within the network who meet all the requirements as listed above.
