The Children's Coalition for Northeast Louisiana (CCNELA) is seeking an experienced, dynamic, Executive Director to lead the organization starting mid-year 2022. The Children’s Coalition is a community-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Monroe, Louisiana and serves 14 parishes in rural Louisiana. During its 20+ year history the Coalition has sought to fulfill its mission to “create communities where children and families thrive," by addressing the developmental, social, and emotional needs of children ages 0-18 through early care and education, healthy living, parent education, and youth development programs. From 2015-2020, the organization experienced a period of tremendous growth, moving from 23 employees with an annual operating budget of $1.2 million to 85 employees with an annual operating budget of approx. $7 million. In 2018, the Coalition co-located all of its programs into one location downtown in an effort to create a one-stop-shop for children and families. The new location is surrounded by an outdoor early childhood learning center with a 30-bed edible garden which feeds children in the Early Head Start program. The Coalition seeks a leader who will transition with the interim Executive Director to progress toward independent responsibility for strengthening the organization, partnerships and programs that expand essential services across the region, so children and families can have access to the resources they need to thrive.
