A NOTE FROM OUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS

​It is with a heavy heart that the Board of Directors announces the resignation of Dr. Lynn Clark, Executive Director of the Children’s Coalition for Northeast Louisiana, effective Spring 2020. Since joining the Coalition more than five years ago, Dr. Clark has played a pivotal role in the growth and transformation of the organization. Since then, the organization has grown from 23 employees to 85. Under Dr. Clark’s guidance, the Coalition moved all of its programs into one centralized location in downtown Monroe, creating a one-stop shop for children and families in Northeast Louisiana. Now the organization serves over 11,000 children and families each year through 17 programs including Early Head Start (ACF), Family Resource Center (DCFS), Child Care Resource and Referral (LDE), and Drug Free Communities (DHH). While we will miss Dr. Clark and her inspiring leadership, we wish her the best of luck on her new endeavors.  

Dr. Clark has given the Board advanced notice of her departure to allow for a smooth transition for the organization. The Board has initiated a Transition Committee to aid in the process and has formed a Search Committee that has started it’s work to define the attributes and qualifications needed in the next leader, and serve as a partner with the Executive Search partner that has been selected.

The Coalition will be seeking a leader who will continue to grow partnerships and programs that expand essential services across the region, so children and families can have access to the resources they need to thrive. We cannot thank Dr. Clark enough for the dedication, passion, and visionary leadership over the past five years. She will be greatly missed, but her legacy will live on with the organization. In the spring, we will provide an opportunity to show Dr. Clark your appreciation and celebrate her time with us.
